Rare's most overrated games by a very wide margin and I suspect had they been released on any platform other than the N64 they wouldn't even have mattered.
I suppose the MP was fun but even at the time it couldn't hold a candle to Quake in that regard. PC games from the same era were miles ahead and even Saturn and PSX had a much better FPS experience in Powerslave/Exhumed. Will never get the love for these 2 games. Quite frankly Timesplitters 2/3 are just much better games for this type of experience. The games don't really excel at anything.
And the level design is nowhere near as good as some make it out to be, btw. Seriously, it completely trumps the original in everything except level design.
