Though it is possible to switch on/off the wifi from Windows 8.1 Charms bar. My laptop contains the network adaptor is Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless Network. There is no Wi-Fi button appear only the LAN icon was displayed. hi i am using windows 8 i can't find a wireless connection.i checked device manager ,i saw qualcomm atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless net work adapter, this is not working properly, showing yellow color please help mee. My laptop was Acer V3-571 G which bought in December 2012. Also Pressing Function+F12 on laptop does not have any effect. WiFi is not working in windows 8 I came across this problem when I upgraded in to windows 8.
Though I have not changed any of the default settings only steps listed on above blog I tried to resolve the issue.However it has not worked. What can be a solution or what should I try.I have tried steps listed here.
The same router from where all other Mobile,Laptop,Tablets at my home are working are able to connect to the wifi network.Only on this laptop I am facing this issue. However recently I see that Wifi is not working though it shows me the SSID of my network which I used to use and also SSID of neighboring networks.(That means wifi chip on laptop is able to scan the wifi signals and hence it is working). I have Windows 8.1 pro installed.I was using wifi on this laptop everything was working fine.
